Date: Wednesday, January 13, 2010
Warwickshire Wildlife Trust's Forest
School project celebrated the success of its first Forest
School Course, as an Open College Network Centre: 8
students from Warwickshire, Solihull and Coventry have recently
passed their Forest School Assistant Qualification.
Jen Jones, Warwickshire Wildlife Trust
Education Manager and OCN Centre Internal Verify said,
"This is a great achievement for us, This
is the start of good things to come from our OCN Centre; this year
we are rolling out further Forest School Level 3 and Level 2
courses. It's a very exciting time for us and the Forest
School Project"
The Forest School Project running at
Warwickshire Wildlife Trust aims to engage with schools and early
years settings to train local staff to become Forest School leaders
and run their own Forest Schools. By empowering local staff
with this training, we are hoping to ensure long-term
sustainability for Forest School projects across the West
Midlands.
